CANADA DAY Market- Sunday, July 1st, 1-6pm at Fernie City Hall
LOCATION: The City of Fernie Canada Day celebrations will be taking place at City Hall Ground at 501 3rd Ave, Fernie. *NEW THIS YEAR -the event location at City Hall means a much more efficient setup and flat vending surface.* This is the same spot the Fall Fair market took place.
TIME: This daytime event runs from 1 till 6pm. Select food vendors are welcome to stay till the fireworks. Please note this on your registration form.
VENDOR SET UP: The Market Coordinator will be waiting to assist you in finding your spot at 5th Street & 3rd Ave. Set up begins at 11am. All vendors must be set up and ready to vend a minimum of 15 minutes before the event begins.
FOOD TRUCKS SET UP: Food trucks set up starts at 10am. The event continues till the fireworks at dark. Food Trucks will be setting up in the staff parking lot behind City Hall. The Market Coordinator will be available to identify your location from 10-11am.
FEES: Fees will be collected after the market begins at 1pm. Please come prepared with cash to pay your fees. 10×10 – $20 10X15 – $30 10×20 – $40
PARKING: You may park behind your tent at this event if you plan to not move your vehicle during the event. If you do not want your vehicle barricaded in during the event, then please be sure to remove it before 12:30pm.
SELLING OUT: Please note that all vendors are expected to stay onsite even if they sell out. Food vendors please plan to bring enough supplies to sell both during the afternoon and dinner rush.
ELECTRICITY: Please note that there is no electricity available at this event. Low noise generators are permitted as long as a fire extinguisher is present.
TAKE DOWN: Vendor takedown begins at 6pm. Your booth must stay up until this time. Your
DISPOSABLE CONTAINER GUIDELINES: This City of Fernie event is waste-free event. All vendors are encouraged to reduce single-use disposable packaging. If it is necessary, we strongly encouraged you to use eco-friendly products. Styrofoam packaging is not allowed on site. All vendors selling products with single-use packaging are responsible for providing recycling and garbage facilities at your vending area and are required to remove the garbage and recycling offsite when the market day is done.
