On July 1st, the heart of downtown Fernie will be transformed into a vibrant, bustling hub of activity for all ages. From a delicious pancake breakfast to all- day music, the energy will be electric, and there’s no better place to be than at the Mountain Market.
We’re inviting food vendors, artisans, and crafters to showcase their products at this year’s market. With thousands of visitors expected, this is a fantastic opportunity to share your culinary creations or handmade goods with a lively crowd. Whether you’re serving up delicious eats or offering unique crafts, you’ll be right at the center of the action.
In addition to the market, there will be food truck alley, a variety of entertainment, and fun zones for kids with inflatables, face painting, and more. The day will also feature a classic car Show & Shine on Second Avenue, local pub drinks, and community activities like the dunk tank challenge.

Do you want to vend at the Canada Day Market in Fernie?
- 1st: Review the Mountain Market vendor guidelines
- 2nd: Complete the 3 steps to become a Mountain Market vendor so you can attend the Canada Day Mountain Market event.
- 3rd: Watch your inbox for an email with the link to the online Canada Day registration form.
- 4th: Complete the online Canada Day registration form and save the event info
- IMPORTANT: The Canada Day event is at a different location than our regular Rotary Park markets. Pre-registration is required to vend at this event.

Do I need to pre-register and pre-pay to attend this event? Yes
How much does it cost to vend at the Canada Day Mountain Market event? It is $25 for a 10×10 booth. Food trucks cost $35. Community organizations attend for free.
Do I need to have insurance to vend? Yes. All vendors are required to have insurance. Read how on the Vendors Only page. Many vendors like to use Duuo which is supringly quick, easy to use and costs most vendors less than $20/day.
